LUG to open a lighting solutions production facility in Argentina

Polish lighting manufacturer LUG has signed an agreement with the local Government of the Misiones Province in Argentina to open a production facility and supply Euro 21m worth of luminaires to the Province.

Within the agreement, the new production facility will manufacture LED luminaires for the needs of illuminating the urban areas of the Misiones Province. In the first stage of the agreement, LUG will supply luminaires worth about Euro 5.6m.

The move follows the establishment of production facilities in Brazil and the new Argentinian facility forms part of the company’s stated South American development strategy.

“We will be the first company to introduce LED technology to the Misiones Province and together with the local authorities, we are going to increase the level of technological advancement of lighting in the Province,” President of Board, Ryszard Wtorkowski, said.

Construction of the new manufacturing facility will take about 15 months.
