The renovation of older buildings coupled with the introduction of contemporary lighting control technology can present challenges.
To help meet these, Lighting Controls Ltd has introduced a new DALI Switch Interface that interfaces architectural switches into the DALI network. This is the first such interface to fit into a low-profile box, enabling existing light switches to connect to the DALI network. The ecoLUX LC-DALI4IP/BB, is a 4-channel switch input module, powered by the DALI bus, which enables 4 standard switches, or two centre retractive switches to be connected to a DALI network.
Being of very low profile (9mm thick), the unit can be installed behind a standard light switch in a 28mm pattress box.
This slim size makes the LC-DALI4IP/BB input module ideal when a DALI switch interface is needed in an existing installation, for instance, when it is required to use architectural switches to control lights on a DALI network, or when the wiring is inaccessible.
The interface can be used with all ecoLUX DALI modules including LCMs, Area Controllers and interfaces such as the DALI64.
The LC-DALI4IP/BB can be connected directly to the DALI connection on a luminaire so as to quickly and cost effectively add switching and dimming functions to an existing installation.
