The IBA Buying Group Ltd is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul White as Chief Membership Officer. Paul brings more than two decades of experience in the electrical wholesale industry, having held senior roles at Edmundson Electrical, CEF, and Rexel since joining the sector in 2001.

In this newly enhanced leadership role, Paul will focus on ensuring the IBA continues to strengthen its position as the natural home for independent electrical wholesalers. His remit includes driving Member value, deepening supplier partnerships, and shaping the next phase of the Groupโ€™s commercial evolution.

A key part of this work will be the continued development of IBA+, the optional suite of extended Member services that allows wholesalers to tailor additional support to their individual needs. Paul will help Members make the most of these services while preserving the independence that is central to the IBA ethos.

The IBA CEO, Paul Jenner, commented: โ€œAfter receiving overwhelming interest in this position, Paul White impressed the interview board with his clear focus on ensuring that IBA Members continue to be competitive in an ever-changing market. He is dedicated to delivering opportunities for significant growth across both traditional sectors and the fast-expanding Renewables space. Our continued growth will come from supporting our existing Members and supplier partners while identifying independent wholesalers who share the IBA philosophy: collective strength without compromising individual identity.โ€

Speaking on his appointment, Paul White said: โ€œIโ€™m delighted to be joining the IBA as the organisation enters its next phase of growth. They have a clear identity, a well-established market position, and a proven track record across the sector.

My focus will be on strengthening relationships with Members and suppliers, identifying growth opportunities, and ensuring the IBA continues to deliver real commercial value. Iโ€™m looking forward to working closely with everyone across the organisation in the months ahead.โ€

Paulโ€™s leadership style is rooted in clarity, collaboration, and momentum, built from years of strong commercial discipline, relationship-building, and effective team development. He believes in progress over perfection, valuing simple, consistent steps that deliver measurable results, and summarises his philosophy in three words: โ€œMake it better.โ€ Paulโ€™s commitment to momentum is mirrored in his personal routine; he starts most days at 4:45am to train before work, a discipline that reflects his proactive, focused approach to supporting Members and driving commercial outcomes. Looking ahead, Paul is energised by the opportunity to help the IBA build on its strong foundations by enhancing engagement with Members, strengthening supplier partnerships, expanding opportunities through IBA Renewables, and increasing the value Members gain from data, insight, and tailored services through IBA+.
