Chint amendment 3 compliant steel consumer units offer from 3-36 ways in 13 sizes. The units provide for whole building protection, tenanted accommodation, garages, bathrooms, special equipment and more. Chint also manufacture units to client specification.
The range gives electrical installers flexibility to centralise or distribute control.
Larger boxes can easily accommodate circuit protection, isolation and devices such as meters or contactors. Internally there is room for extra height MCBO’s and fast and efficient wiring. Many knock-outs provide options for cable entry. Larger boxes have a kit for conversion to a high integrity board.
The neutral bar is fully insulated to protect from contact. Rigid internal wiring is also fitted, making it less likely to work loose or fall out to touch the cabinet. The new metal consumer units have been tested and approved as complying with the latest requirements by TUV.
