Electrical wholesalers and suppliers certainly party hard, if this year\u2019s Electrical Wholesaler Awards are anything to go by. With 300 guests (100 up on last year), and even more entries for the expanded list of categories, the awards have certainly gathered momentum, making for a memorable night in which excellence was celebrated throughout the supply chain.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"EW_Awards_2015_001\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The venue for the Electrical Wholesaler Awards 2015 was the Millennium Gloucester Hotel, London, and it was rewarding to see so many wholesalers and suppliers out in force on May 14th for the swish black tie dinner and awards ceremony, ably hosted by comedian, Ian Moore.<\/p>\n

The evening began with a Champagne drinks reception, allowing guests to mingle and network. The awards were presented in two parts \u2013 with the Wholesaler Awards announced and presented before dinner, and the Manufacturers\u2019 Awards after the sumptuous meal.<\/p>\n

Two additional awards were introduced for 2015 \u2013 the first ever Training Excellence Award was won by Simon Abrahams, of LAMPS, while Heat Mat Ltd scooped the first award for being the Best Training Provider.<\/p>\n

You could hear a pin drop at EW Editor, Debbie Eales, announced the final award of the evening, the Lifetime Contribution Award, which was won be Fegime UK\u2019s CEO, Jane Gower (see full story in June’s EW magazine).<\/p>\n

It was heart-warming to see guests respond to the news with a standing ovation for an emotional Jane as she made her way to the stage to collect her trophy.<\/p>\n

It proved to be a very good night for Moss Electrical, who won the Best Electrical Wholesaler (10 and under) branches, and whose Dartford branch manager, Jamie Ross, won the Branch Manager of the Year title. Moss Electrical were also highly commended in the Best Individual Branch category, which was won by Recon Electrical of Chesterfield. <\/strong>The ML Accessories team were also jubilant, collecting the Best Overall Supplier Award and the Best Supplier Customer Service trophy.<\/p>\n

A charity raffle raised \u00a32001 for the Electrical Industries Charity. The prize, tickets for two to see Michael McIntyre and dinner in the Pearson Room, was won by Darren Garcia of Rapid Electrical.<\/p>\n
