It is especially suitable for users with sight impairment or mobility difficulties and who are particularly vulnerable when a circuit breakers trips.

Lumo is available pre-fitted within an impact resistant, flame retardant consumer unit in three different sizes up to 16 ways. Activated by a micro switch when the cover is opened, the low power six light LED consumer unit has an integral long-life battery that is easily accessed for replacement.

Jason Hallam, CPN-Cudis’ 17th Edition qualified UK Specification Manager explained, “Consumer units are very often hidden away under stairs, in cupboards or in other dark locations. The householder usually needs to find a working torch to see which MCB has tripped. This is an ideal product to specify within upgrade programmes to local council or private properties that can make a big difference to the safety and convenience of occupiers.”

The Lumo is available nationwide via the CPN-Cudis stockist network. A video has been produced to illustrate the problem when lights fail and improvements in access and safety the Lumo board makes in identifying a tripped MCB, RCD or RCBO that has failed.
