The Building Controls Industry Association (BCIA) has launched a Terminology Handbook \u2013 providing all those with an interest in the sector with an easy-to-access practical guide and an in-depth glossary of terms.<\/p>\n
Titled \u2018Navigating Building Controls & Automation \u2013 A Terminology Handbook\u2019, the informative and engaging digital resource will help those in the industry understand the standard terminology and definitions used throughout the sector.<\/p>\n
The extensive handbook has been developed to bring clarity and empower those working in Building Management Systems (BMS) and Building Energy Management Systems (BEMS), in-house BEMS teams, engineers, and specialists involved in the specification or facilities management of building control systems.<\/p>\n
Encompassing everything from a glossary of terms through to a comprehensive dictionary, and a full list of relevant policies and legislation, sustainability and performance schemes, and important associations and organisations, the Terminology Handbook is a must-have for BEMS professionals.<\/p>\n
Stacey Lucas, President of the BCIA, believes the new handbook will be invaluable for anyone in the BEMS sector, whether apprentices or vastly experienced engineers.
