{"id":21700,"date":"2024-09-27T09:32:33","date_gmt":"2024-09-27T08:32:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ewnews.co.uk\/?p=21700"},"modified":"2024-09-30T14:10:01","modified_gmt":"2024-09-30T13:10:01","slug":"click-adds-bidirectional-rcbos-to-elucian-range","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ewnews.co.uk\/index.php\/click-adds-bidirectional-rcbos-to-elucian-range\/","title":{"rendered":"Click adds Bidirectional RCBOs to Elucian range"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The latest addition to Click Scolmore\u2019s Elucian range of consumer units and protective devices is a new, bidirectional RCBO.<\/p>\n<p>The launch comes hot on the heels of Amendment 3 of BS 7671 (BS 7671:2018+A3:2024), which followed the issue of a technical bulletin by BEAMA in 2024 which detailed a concern where, under certain circumstances, protective devices failed to safely operate when required where current flowed in either direction.<\/p>\n<p>Regulation 530.3.201 requires that due account is taken by the designer and installer of the likely direction of current flow and protective equipment selected accordingly.<\/p>\n<p>The Elucian Bidirectional RCBO is crucial for ensuring user protection in the event of a fault during a loss of supply. These devices are commonly used with generating sets, where the current can flow in both directions, ensuring that the installer is still protected under fault conditions.<\/p>\n<p>The new bidirectional RCBO is Type A rated and available in both B curve and C curve, with 6A, 10A, 16A, 20A, 25A, 32A, 40A and 45A options.
