On Friday 28 July, the company held a launch event with its staff in Hastings, Watford and Manchester where managing director Jon Chamberlain talked about the journey ahead.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe believe it is our responsibility to protect the environment, and that\u2019s why we are starting this drive to achieve net zero emissions by 2050,\u201d he said. \u201cAs a starting point, we will plant five trees today. They will be the symbol of our journey to Net Zero and when the trees grow we will benefit from the shade and fresh air and remember how we started this project. As individuals, we can all contribute to the Net Zero Project. Each department has a mission to see what can be done to reduce and achieve the project goals and by working together, we can create a more sustainable future for our planet.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Marshall-Tufflex has demonstrated its responsibility to sustainability in recent years through its commitment to recycling, using PVC-U originating from windows within its manufacturing process. The company has also taken a number of steps to reduce its carbon emissions, including a new fleet of electric lithium-ion battery forklift trucks and the installation of electric vehicle charging points at its head office in Hastings.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Jon concluded: \u201cWe know that we can\u2019t achieve net zero emissions on our own. That\u2019s why we are calling on our employees, customers and partners to join us on this journey. Together, we can make a difference.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
