As part of its Secure Communities Scheme, leading security specialist, Burg-W\u00e4chter UK, has pledged to support the Rainy Day Trust \u2013 the only charity specifically supporting the home improvement industry \u2013 to supply security equipment to independent trades people who fall victim to tool theft in its joint campaign with Toolstation.<\/p>\n
Tool theft rise<\/span><\/p>\n Bryan Clover, Chief Executive of the Rainy Day Trust said, \u2018Tool theft is becoming more prevalent and that is a factor of the way the economy is going. In fact, in 2020 alone, almost 11,300 tool thefts from vehicles were reported. If your power tools are gone and you\u2019re a roofer for example, you can\u2019t go to work the next day \u2013 its as simple as that.<\/p>\n Replace and protect<\/span><\/p>\n Bryan continued, “However, if the worst does happen, the Rainy Day Trust is here to help. Once verified as a genuine claim, replacement tools are organised as quickly as possible to help minimise the disruption a theft can cause.<\/p>\n “Our partnership with Toolstation was offered additional support by Burg-W\u00e4chter UK, who were happy to help by providing a package of security products ideal for protecting van doors as well as bolts and chains to secure both vehicles and tools.
