{"id":18042,"date":"2022-05-13T07:44:34","date_gmt":"2022-05-13T07:44:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ewnews.co.uk\/?p=18042"},"modified":"2022-05-20T07:46:23","modified_gmt":"2022-05-20T07:46:23","slug":"napit-releases-free-guide-to-elevate-ev-chargepoint-installations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ewnews.co.uk\/index.php\/napit-releases-free-guide-to-elevate-ev-chargepoint-installations\/","title":{"rendered":"NAPIT releases free guide to elevate EV Chargepoint Installations."},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"Normal\"><span class=\"Normal__Char\">NAPIT\u2019s Technical team have produced a new \u2018Top 10 Tips\u2019 Guide to help those installing Electric Vehicle Chargepoints (EVCPs) avoid commonly overlooked errors.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Normal\"><span class=\"Normal__Char\">In response to the recent Government funded audit into the installation of Domestic Electric Vehicle Chargepoints (EVCPs) under the Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme, NAPIT have created a Top 10 Tips leaflet to provide valuable advice to installers of EVCPs. The audits revealed several areas that should be enhanced to enable greater safety and compliance and made a series of useful recommendations to support the installation of EVCPs.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Normal\"><span class=\"Normal__Char\">This new Top 10 Tips guide outlines some key areas of focus for installers of EVCPs, and we encourage all those who undertake EVCP installations to take some time to read it as part of their Continuing Professional Development (CPD).<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Normal\"><span class=\"Normal__Char\">Areas of focus within the guide include how to approach existing electrical installation checks, ensuring the correct earthing of chargepoints, adequacy of supply, how to alert the DNO and labelling and certification requirements.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"Normal\"><span class=\"Normal__Char\">Commenting on the new guide, Frank Bertie, Chief Technical Officer at NAPIT said: \u2018The Audits commissioned by the Office of Zero Emission Vehicles into Domestic Chargepoints outlined several common oversights made by installers that were often quite simple to rectify. In response to the findings, NAPIT\u2019s technical team have created this Top 10 Tips guide to highlight these to installers of EVCP and encourage them to take the advice into consideration for future installs.
