{"id":17731,"date":"2022-03-08T16:48:23","date_gmt":"2022-03-08T16:48:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ewnews.co.uk\/?p=17731"},"modified":"2022-03-14T16:51:37","modified_gmt":"2022-03-14T16:51:37","slug":"ten-high-performers-triumph-at-eda-awards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ewnews.co.uk\/index.php\/ten-high-performers-triumph-at-eda-awards\/","title":{"rendered":"Ten high-performers triumph at EDA Awards"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ten future leaders won an Electrical Distributors\u2019 Association Learning Achievement Award at an annual lunch high above the rooftops at London\u2019s iconic The Shard on Friday 4 March 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Now in its eighth year, the Association\u2019s celebration of training excellence brings together talented individuals from EDA wholesaler and manufacturer businesses. Each worthy winner has delivered an outstanding performance in the EDA\u2019s Product Knowledge Programme or in an apprenticeship.<\/p>\n<p>The Awards were presented by EDA President, CEF\u2019s Managing Director, Chris Ashworth, and Michelle McCutcheon from event sponsors EDA Apprenticeships Plus, the organisation which operates the Association\u2019s Apprenticeship Service.<\/p>\n<p>Margaret Fitzsimons, EDA CEO, said \u201cOur winners are the cream of the UK\u2019s electrotechnical sector. Travelling from as far afield as Guernsey to the South, Cork in Ireland to the west, and North Yorkshire and from businesses large and small, but they all have one thing in common: each has worked extremely hard to achieve amazing results in their training.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEvery year our high-performing winners and their guests tell us how much they enjoy this event. I think it is because they can see the fantastic career potential offered by our sector and I hope when they go back home they will share the inspiring stories they\u2019ve heard today, encouraging others to follow suit.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>For an outstanding performance in the EDA Product Knowledge Modules the Learning Achievement Awards went to:<\/p>\n<p>1. Sian Alford, Edmundson Electrical Ltd in Guernsey;<\/p>\n<p>2. Joe Sayer, BEW Electrical Distributors Ltd in Peterborough, part of the Fegime UK buying group;<\/p>\n<p>3. Gary Dowling, Kellehers Electrical, part of Rexel UK Ltd, in Cork, Republic of Ireland;<\/p>\n<p>4. Dean Jones, Alert Electrical Wholesalers in Ilkeston, part of The IBA Buying Group;<\/p>\n<p>5. Alex Bright, Termination Technology Ltd in Bristol;<\/p>\n<p>6. Richard Banks, Deta Electrical Company Ltd, Charlton, Bedfordshire.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>For an outstanding performance in an apprenticeship the Learning Achievement Awards went to:<\/p>\n<p>1. Shannon Rooney-Sadler, BED (Corby) Ltd, part of the ANEW buying group;<\/p>\n<p>2. Finley Maxwell-Hoff, LAMPS \u2013 Lighting and Mains Power Solutions Ltd in Aylesbury, part of the AWEBB buying group;<\/p>\n<p>3. Joshua Craggs, CEF in Ripon;<\/p>\n<p>4.
