\"\"<\/a>Cable cleats and straps designed, developed and manufactured in North Yorkshire are currently being installed in the industrial headquarters of one of the world\u2019s largest eucalyptus cellulose pulp producers \u2013 Uruguay-based Montes del Plata (MdP).<\/p>\n

MdP is a joint venture between two of the most renowned forestry companies in the world: Chilean headquartered, Arauco and Helsinki headquartered, Stora Enso.<\/p>\n

Ells Patents\u2019 Emperor cable cleats and FlexiStrap cable straps were specified for the job by local electrical design consultancy, Eprisma; and were selected due to their proven capability to safely secure large power cable bundles; in particular on vertical runs.<\/p>\n

They are being installed in MdP\u2019s main industrial plant in Colonia \u2013 a region in the south west of Uruguay. Kelly Brown, Ellis Patents\u2019 head of sales, said: \u201cThe reputation for the safety and quality of our cable cleats has been built over many years, and today Ellis Patents cleats are very much seen as the standard by which all others are judged.\u201d<\/p>\n

MdP manages 155,000 hectares of industrial forest in 13 areas across Uruguay, from which it produces and exports eucalyptus cellulose pulp every year. The company is renowned for its commitment to sustainability, and amongst other initiatives it plants 20 million seedlings per annum. The company is also seen as one of Uruguay\u2019s most innovative industrial operators and has been lauded for its focus on electrical safety and technical development.<\/p>\n

\u201cMdP is a huge business and its operation in Uruguay is on a scale that not many come close to matching,\u201d added Kelly. \u201cTo have secured this first order is a notable achievement; and the great working relationships developed with both MdP and Eprisma during the process does point to what we hope will be a long and important working relationship in this key export market for Ellis Patents.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ellis Patents has enjoyed great success in Latin America during 2020, with significant orders recently announced in both Chile and Peru. It has also recently appointed ElectroUruguay as its local distributor in Uruguay, which means it now has a network of six local distributors in the region.<\/p>\n
