Having received a flood of entries from\u00a0<\/span>wholesalers, manufacturers and supporting industry figures\u00a0<\/span>from across the trade, it is now time for individuals operating within the\u00a0<\/span>electrical\u00a0<\/span>sector to help decide who deserves to win an accolade from the glittering\u00a0<\/span>Electrical Wholesaler\u00a0<\/span>Awards ceremony, taking place at\u00a0<\/span>The Chelsea Harbour Hotel in London on Thursday 21 May.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Voting is open\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This year, you will have the chance to have your say in the Brand categories, where your votes will be counted in order to decide the overall winners. This voting process is vital, explains Bryony Andrews, editor of EW, as it provides a way for the industry to highlight those brands and product that they feel have really pushed the boundaries of innovation over the past year.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

V<\/span>oting\u00a0<\/span>is<\/span>\u00a0open\u00a0<\/span>NOW, so<\/span>\u00a0make sure you support the brands,\u00a0<\/span>wholesalers\u00a0<\/span>and professionals that you feel deserve to lift a prestigious trophy by heading to the dedicated Awards website:\u00a0<\/span>www.electricalwholesalerawards.co.uk\/vote\/<\/span>\u00a0and casting your votes<\/span>\u00a0before the deadline o<\/span>f\u00a0<\/span>12pm<\/span>\u00a0on<\/span>\u00a0Friday 27 March 2020<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

E<\/span>ntries for the Wholesaler categories, meanwhile, will go before\u00a0<\/span>a panel of specially-selected experts<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>The critique of these judges will be the key factor in de<\/span>ciding who<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>will<\/span>\u00a0be<\/span>\u00a0deemed to be worthy of walking away from the event as a champion.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>Our judges for this year are Eddie Embleton, m<\/span>anaging\u00a0<\/span>d<\/span>irector\u202f<\/span>of\u00a0<\/span>Voltimum UK and International<\/span>; Richard Pagett,\u00a0<\/span>m<\/span>anaging\u00a0<\/span>d<\/span>irector<\/span>\u00a0of\u00a0<\/span>Aria\u00a0<\/span>PR;\u00a0<\/span>Tracey Rushton-Thorpe, m<\/span>anaging\u00a0<\/span>d<\/span>irector<\/span>\u00a0of\u00a0<\/span>Keystone Communications<\/span>\u00a0and Steve Martin, a director and specialist advisor at Savills. EW editor Bryony Andrews will chair the panel.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>EW caught up with Steve to find out why he decided to get involved with the awards. A<\/span>\u00a0known figure in the electrical industry from his previous role as\u00a0<\/span>t<\/span>echnical\u00a0<\/span>d<\/span>irector at the ECA (Electrical Contractors\u2019 Associatio<\/span>n), Steve is no<\/span>w part of Savills Affordable Hous<\/span>ing T<\/span>eam<\/span>. His<\/span>\u00a0primary focus is providing specialist advise across the public sector, namely Local Authorities and Housing Associations<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0on meeting their obligations around electrical safety.<\/span>[Text Wrapping Break][Text Wrapping Break]Steve<\/span>\u00a0commented: \u201c<\/span>I\u2019m delighted to be part of these awards in recognizing the achievements of an essential part of our supply chain.
