The European Union of Electrical Wholesalers (EUEW) will welcome nearly 300 delegates and guests from 120+ leading electrical wholesaler and manufacturer companies across 21 European countries.<\/strong><\/h5>\n

The 64th<\/sup> edition of EUEW General Convention will bring together key representatives of peer organisations such as EuroCommerce, ETIM International, FEST and AIE, and members of the international press, over a course of two days 9th<\/sup>\u201311th<\/sup> May. The convention will be hosted at Dolce La Hulpe Hotel, Brussels.<\/p>\n

Hans Hanegreefs, Secretary General of EUEW<\/strong> comments: \u201cImprove & Secure the value of your business\u2019 is the prime theme of EUEW\u2019s 2019 General Convention. We have brought together world\u2019s leading speakers and authorities to help outline our industry\u2019s priorities and gauge trends and challenges for electrical wholesalers including opportunities of the circular economy, artificial intelligence, digitisation, China\u2019s vision on leading innovation, and understanding the European anti-trust and competition laws. As the leading organisation that represents nearly \u20ac41.5 billion in annual turnover by its 1,050 companies employing 103,000 people \u2013 we consciously chose Brussels as the destination for our 2019 General Convention to raise profile of our objectives, strategies and priorities at the European Union level.\u201d<\/p>\n

EUEW\u2019s General Convention\u2019s guest speakers are Guy Wollaert, Matthias De Clercq, Pascal Coppens, Ian Heller, Maxim Kleine and Jan Janse. EUEW will host several panel discussions with the guest speakers and the electrical industry\u2019s key leaders and influencers. 2019 General Convention will also mark the appointment of a new President for EUEW. Ulrich Liedtke, Executive Vice President of W\u00fcrth Elektrogro\u00dfhandel GmbH & Co. KG will hand over the leadership baton, after two iconic years, to Alexander Dewulf, CEO at Cebeo Sonepar Belgium. The Presidential Ceremony will take place during the Gala Dinner on Friday evening at the Royal Museum of Fine Arts.<\/p>\n
