The business will be known as British Cables Company with immediate effect.<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>Commenting on the development, <strong>British Cables Company Managing Director, Kevin Samuel<\/strong> said, \u201cThis is one of the most positive developments in the company\u2019s long history. The Wilms Group is the biggest privately-owned cable group in Europe. It has over 70 companies, more than 7500 employees and a turnover exceeding 1.5 billion Euros. We are delighted to have become a part of such a dynamic organisation as it provides the flexibility of a single specialised business unit, combined with the strength and power of the group.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are in the process of developing the business and marketing strategy. It\u2019s an exciting prospect as we will be in a position to expand our product line coverage and indeed the market segments we target. Our Blackley, Manchester facility will remain our UK headquarters.
