Max Kershaw works for CEF<\/a>, the electrical goods and services supplier, in the company\u2019s Redhill store. The 17-year-old is training for a career in electrical wholesaling and his visit to No.10, on 10th<\/sup> May, was organised by London-based training provider, Hawk Training.<\/p>\n Hawk Training is a partner of EDA Apprenticeships Plus, <\/em>the organisation that runs and manages the apprenticeship programme on behalf of the sector\u2019s trade association, the Electrical Distributors\u2019 Association.<\/p>\n While on the tour, Max visited No.10’s historic rooms and saw artefacts that played a fundamental part in British history. Having enjoyed the guided tour, Max said: \u201cThis was a really interesting experience for me, and something I\u2019ll never forget. The electrical wholesaling sector offers some fantastic career development opportunities for young people and school leavers and I\u2019m delighted to have been able to represent the industry at such an important British location.<\/p>\n \u201cBy being a part of the EDA Apprenticeships Programme, I\u2019ve been given some really valuable opportunities, and I\u2019d definitely recommend the initiative to others.\u201d<\/p>\n Max\u2019s manager at CEF, James Francis, added: \u201cMax is a terrific apprentice and the fact that he was chosen for a visit to No. 10 is testament to this. He has delivered to very high standards in both his job and his apprenticeship qualification. Max is keen, thoughtful, conscientious, and hardworking and a real asset to our business.\u201d<\/p>\n Crawford Knott, Hawk Training\u2019s Managing Director, said: \u201cThe theme of \u2018Apprenticeships Work\u2019 features prominently across all of our activities.
