Many EDA affiliated manufacturers will be exhibiting there.<\/p>\n<p>Margaret Fitzsimons, EDA CEO, said: \u201cFor\u00a0our sector, Light + Building is the world\u2019s leading trade fair and part of the EDA\u2019s role is to\u00a0give members the opportunity to\u00a0keep abreast of the latest developments in the\u00a0increasingly hi-tech electro-technical sector, so they can bring the learning back\u00a0to their businesses and\u00a0add value to their customer relationships. It is also important to support our affiliated manufacturers who make a significant investment to showcase their latest technologies at the show.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The EDA has collaborated with the Lighting\u00a0Industry Association (the LIA) to develop the itinerary and bring together\u00a0members from both organisations, as well as from the world of contracting.\u00a0Steve Davies, the LIA\u2019s CEO explains: \u201cExhibition space at Light + Building is very sought after but, fortuitously, this\u00a0year the LIA has secured a\u00a0substantial stand presence for LIA Members, thanks\u00a0in part to funding from the Department for International Trade. It means we are\u00a0well placed to create\u00a0and facilitate networking and business development\u00a0opportunities for the EDA delegation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The EDA hopes that this first visit will lead\u00a0to Light + Building becoming a regular date in the diary for the UK sector, as\u00a0Margaret Fitzsimons concludes: \u201cIn addition\u00a0to the LIA presence, around 25 of our\u00a0Affiliates (the EDA\u2019s manufacturer and service provider members) are exhibiting\u00a0and we\u2019ll ensure that our\u00a0wholesalers get the opportunity to visit as many of\u00a0their stands as possible.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt will be a packed itinerary as we are attending\u00a0for just two of the six days that the fair is open but, given the demand for\u00a0places this year, we hope to\u00a0expand the opportunity for our members in 2020 and\u00a0beyond.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Light + Building 2018 is open from Sunday 18 March 2018 to Friday 23 March 2018 and the theme for this year is \u201cConnected \u2013 Secure \u2013 Convenient\u201d.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.light-building.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.light-building.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Next month (March), the Electrical\u00a0Distributors\u2019 Association (EDA) will lead a 30-strong delegation to\u00a0Frankfurt\u2019s Light + Building 2018, the\u00a0world\u2019s largest trade fair for lighting and building services technology.
