CEF, the electrical products and services supplier, has released an action-packed schedule of events for its bi-annual tradeshow, CEF Live<\/a>. The event, which is returning to Birmingham\u2019s NEC Arena on June 8\u20139, will feature two days of\u00a0 presentations, seminars, workshops and other activities.<\/h4>\n

Both days will include an exclusive preview of the much-anticipated 18th <\/sup> Edition of the IET Wiring Regulations<\/em>, ahead of its coming into force in 2018. Industry legend and NICEIC’s Senior Marketing and Events Engineer, Tony Cable, will be discussing the changes, and how to best adhere to them, alongside NICEIC’s Technical Development Manager, Darren Staniforth.<\/p>\n

The event will be the last chance to see Tony speak in a professional capacity following his planned retirement later in the year.<\/p>\n

Young professionals<\/h4>\n

In a new development for the 2017 event, the second day of CEF LIVE will have a special focus on young professionals in the electrical contracting sector. Friday will include a host of activities designed specifically for those entering the trade.<\/p>\n

Supportive workshops and fun challenges, hosted by JTL \u2013 the electrical industry\u2019s training body \u2013 will be available for those looking to boost their industry knowledge and skill-set. In addition, there will be educational presentations advising young professionals on how they can select the most suitable electrical protective devices.<\/p>\n

Both days will also include seminars on how to legally deal with electrical waste \u2013 a key environmental issue within the industry \u2013 as well as demonstrations of best practice when it comes to electrical safety.<\/p>\n

Alongside the speakers, over 45 top electrical brands will be at the show, offering exclusive on-the-day only deals. Those signed up so far include DeWALT, Milwaukee, Klein Tools, Dimplex, Electrium Schneider, Eaton, 3M and Aico, along with technology innovators Nest and Hive. On stand, visitors will be able to take part in live demonstrations and trial the latest products.<\/p>\n

Chris Ashworth, General Manager, CEF said: \u201cThe electrical industry is extremely fast-paced, and it\u2019s important to support those new to the trade by helping them get practical experience with the latest equipment and giving them insight into changing legislation.
