This now enables their clients to\u00a0download the information they require to aid the\u00a0design process and create Building Models.<\/p>\n<p>Building Information Modelling (BIM) is a\u00a0collaborative way of working, intended to\u00a0increase the speed of the construction industry,\u00a0using digital technologies.<\/p>\n<p>BIM uses product data and a threedimensional\u00a0computer model that can be used\u00a0for effective management of information\u00a0throughout a project lifecycle.<\/p>\n<p>The UK government issued a target date of the\u00a04th April 2016 for all centrally procured public\u00a0sector projects to have implementation of BIM at\u00a0Level 2. October 3rd, 2016 will mark each\u00a0government department\u2019s capability to\u00a0electronically validate BIM information delivered\u00a0from the supply chain.<\/p>\n<p>Historically the construction industry has been\u00a0segmented, with various disciplines working on\u00a0separate drawings with little cross\u00a0communication which can result in issues\u00a0developing during the build. BIM brings all the\u00a0disciplines together with the goal of having one\u00a0building model that everyone works to, saving\u00a0millions of pounds and speeding up the\u00a0construction process.<\/p>\n<p>The BIM Files now available from Luceco will\u00a0enable their customers to place the Luceco\u00a0commercial luminaires into their BIM models and\u00a0are downloadable from:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.luceco.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.luceco.com<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Luceco has launched a suite of BIM Files created\u00a0in Revit, covering their range of commercial LED\u00a0luminaires.
