Passiv Smart Thermostat now available to renewable energy installers across the Republic of Ireland
The Passiv Smart Thermostat from Passiv UK is now available to installers across the Republic of Ireland through Midsummer Ireland, marking Passiv UK’s first move into the Irish market.
The partnership brings Passiv’s smart heat pump controls to Midsummer Ireland’s established network of renewable energy installers, providing a new option for heating professionals looking to maximise heat pump performance, reduce running costs and deliver greater control for homeowners.

The Passiv Smart Thermostat’s ecoHeat function has been verified by the Energy Saving Trust to improve heat pump efficiency by 17% and can reduce household heating bills by up to 30%. Additional savings can be achieved through tariff optimisation, solar integration and participation in demand-side response programmes through Passiv’s flexibility service, Greener Grid Payments.
Homeowners remain in control through simple in-home controls or the Passiv app, while installers can access detailed system information through the Passiv Portal. The portal provides live and historic visibility of key system data, including energy usage, flow temperatures and customer settings, giving installers greater insight into how a system is operating and helping to identify opportunities to optimise performance.
