OGL Software, a major supplier to stockists in the electrical and electronics sectors, has boosted its executive team with two new appointments. Sharon Moreno and Gary Haynes join senior management to lead the company following its split from OGLโ€™s cyber security and IT services subsidiaries earlier this year.

Sharon Moreno takes over as Chief Operating Officer and Gary Haynes as Chief Financial Officer.

In August 2022, OGL Software confirmed it will continue as an independent business in the wake of Wavenetโ€™s acquisition of OGLโ€™s cyber security and IT solutions divisions. Now a 125-person strong team, based in Stourport, OGL Software provides Enterprise Resource Planning solutions to hundreds of UK businesses.

Designed specifically for merchants, wholesalers, and distributors, OGLโ€™s Profit4 ERP software is a fully integrated system that connects all areas of a business.

New COO Sharon Moreno outlined her aspirations for her new role as providing support and mentoring to the teams that deliver their range of first-class products and services. She will use her 35+ yearsโ€™ experience to work collaboratively, guide and provide opportunities for the OGL team to implement their own improvements and achieve their own aspirations whilst helping customers to prosper. She started her career at OGL as a junior PA, and OGL spotted and harnessed her talent over the last 35 years, leading ultimately to her new role on the executive team.

Incoming CFO Gary Haynes has worked for OGL for over 16 years. His key objective is to identify areas for investment to drive growth whilst balancing costs to ensure the company remains profitable.

He decided to take the role as it presented him with an opportunity to further his personal development, take on additional responsibilities, and focus on the ERP side of the business. He has built up a wealth of knowledge about the ERP industry and learned how to run a financially strong business under his previous CFO, Ashok Patel, who will continue to mentor him.
