Following the launch of Redring Xpelair’s online training academy, the water heating sales team is hitting the road with an in-branch training programme, developed to impart their product knowledge and help wholesalers reclaim their share of the electric showers market.
The 40-minute training sessions help counter staff identify opportunities to cross-sell shower units to contractors working on new or replacement shower installations, whilst also equipping them with the technical and product knowledge to recommend the most appropriate electric shower solution.
The training explores the key selling features of electric showers, including higher kW ratings, BEAB approval, the importance of British manufacture and easy installation, using innovative technology such as Redring’s SmartFit™2.
Electrical wholesalers’ share of the electric showers market has dropped to just 8%, with a high number of unit sales lost to merchants in the past 12 months alone. This presents a huge opportunity for wholesalers to recapture lost ground, comments Dee Walker, Head of Water Sales for Redring.
