National Apprenticeship Week double celebration for EDA training provider
Cirencester’s Apprenticeship Management Group will not only be celebrating Apprenticeship Week but a mile stone for the group as they hit 12 years old
The company, established by John Henry, his sister Trisha and Duncan Naylor have been providing apprentices for national companies since 2010 including Electrical Distributors Association, Builders Merchants Federation, British Coating Federation, FIESTA (Furniture and Interiors, Skills and Training Alliance) and water and other utility companies and can offer their services to businesses of all sizes. They have also recently celebrated a link up with The British Institute of Kitchen Bedroom & Bathroom Installation as well as The Department of Work and Pensions, through its Kickstart Scheme.
They have helped over 3000 people with vocational training and last year launched a new level three apprenticeship in leaderships as well as a series of short courses.
They have been instrumental in helping the government spread information on the Kickstart initiative while director, John Henry, has been lobbying the government and education providers for many years on apprenticeship and work-based training and is seen by many as an industry expert.
“National Apprenticeship Week (7-13 February 2022) has a theme and this will be ‘build the future’, a reflection on how apprenticeships can help individuals to develop the skills needed for a career,” John said
It is the 15th year for this special week that celebrates all that is good about apprenticeships. After the pandemic it is important that we get back to face to face training as there has been so much disruption to industry and therefore learning and training.
“Kickstart and apprenticeship incentives have generated renewed interest in planning the future intake of young people for many employers but the inability to meet; interview and scope new job roles has obviously been hindered. This is all hopefully behind us and we can go on and celebrate the good work of apprentices as well as our anniversary over the week and over 2022 as we continue to grow and build on the success of the last 12 years.”
