Marco delivers at Heartlands, Edinburgh
Marco, the uPVC Cable Management Company and manufacturer of Steel Wire Cable Tray, has supplied cable containment solutions to contractors at the first commercial development within Heartlands, Edinburgh.
Heartlands (pictured) is a vast new residential and commercial venture, creating new communities to live and work in on the outskirts of Edinburgh. Oil States (UK) is the first business to make the move to Heartlands, establishing a manufacturing and production centre within the Heartlands Business Park.
Parr Group Ltd of Belfast has managed the electrical installation and has opted for the Marco specification, ordering vast quantities of Steel Wire Cable Tray via wholesaler, DFT (Diamonds, Fixings and Tools). The Marco products have been delivered to the state-of-the-art 27 acre facility at Heartlands, which incorporates both production and office accommodation. Katherine MacSween, Area Sales Manager at Marco Cable Management said: “This is a major scheme for Edinburgh in terms of both commercial and residential development. It’s great to be part of the first commercial venture which at 27 acres is huge, requiring significant amounts of our products.”
Stephen Ennis Procurement Manager of Parr Group added: “Working with DFT and Marco has been brilliant. We have been able to ensure we obtained top quality products every time at a competitive and affordable price both of which was required on a high spec job such as this. Overall it was a great experience and I very much look forward to working with both DFT and Marco in the future.”
From their new site, Oil States will operate a significant engineering research and development function to develop new, innovative products for the industry. The premises will also manufacture, service and repair a wide range of heavy steel components for the global offshore oil and gas industry.
