Muller has recently completed an extensive expansion project building a chilled produce manufacturing facility in Telford.
The project has doubled the size of Mullerโs current Telford site with three new state-ofthe-art production lines, energy efficient cooling facilities and automated warehouse.
Luceco LED luminaires have been installed in many areas including the cooling tunnel, dispatch, goods in and general plant areas, the installation work carried out by Lorne Stewart Engineering based in Birmingham. In many cases, the luminaires were required to be IP65 rated, robust and capable of DALI dimming with connection to a central battery system.
Ceres Extra HighBay luminaires were selected for the principle production areas. IP65 rated, Ceres Extra bene๏ฌts from a computer designed die-cast aluminium housing with vortex cooling for maximum LED chip performance and provides over 100,000 hours of operational life and a luminaire e๏ฌcacy up to of 140 Llm/cW.
Climate Extra was also installed in plant areas, comprising of a robust LED IP65 rated luminaire o๏ฌering an e๏ฌcacy of 140 Llm/cW and 50,000 hours operational life with increased performance for improved energy e๏ฌciency. Climate Extra is available with integral microwave sensors in on /o๏ฌ or 10% corridor function or batten ๏ฌt PIR sensors as well as DALI drivers and emergency back-up variants including Self-Test.
Platinum Mini Downlighters lit non industrial spaces such as corridors, circulation areas and sta๏ฌ rooms and features easy ๏ฌt positive locating swing out tabs for quick installation. Platinum Mini, Ceres Extra and Climate Extra are all ideal for use with sensors and lighting controls including LiteIP to further improve energy e๏ฌciency and has dimmable and emergency options available. LiteIP is an intelligent wireless lighting system requiring no complicated electrical installation and no limit to the number of luminaires that can be controlled and is compatible with all driver types including DSI, DALI and 1-10 V.
Externally, Luceco supplied the Fortis Wall Pack to provide building perimeter lighting. Fortis o๏ฌers an energy e๏ฌcient alternative to HID ๏ฌttings with a 45W LED luminaire being the equivalent of a 70W traditional HID ๏ฌtting, and a High Space to Height ratio providing the ideal retro๏ฌt alternative to existing Wall Pack installations. With CRI>80, Fortis Wall Pack is ideal for areas with CCTV and variants include standard output, photocell, and emergency options.
King๏ฌsher Lighting, part of the Luceco group, also supplied luminaires for this project. Italo LED lanterns were wall mounted and used to illuminate transportation docks as well as column mounted to light the access route into the plant.
