John Hornby, Chief Executive Officer at Luceco plc has announced he will retire from the Group with effect from 31st December 2026, following 21 years leading the business.

John has played a central role in Luceco’s growth and success so far, helping to transform the Group into one of the electrical industry’s most respected manufacturers across wiring accessories, LED lighting, portable power, EV charging and wider electrification solutions.

Under his leadership, Luceco has grown significantly, broadened its product portfolio, enhanced its manufacturing capability and strengthened relationships with customers and partners across the professional, wholesale, retail and commercial sectors.

The Group brings together a portfolio of trusted electrical brands, including BG Electrical, Luceco Lighting, Sync Energy, Masterplug, CMD and D-Line, supporting installers, contractors, wholesalers and specifiers with innovative products designed to meet the evolving needs of residential, commercial and industrial environments.
