On Friday 1 October, JTL, a leading national training provider for electrical and plumbing and heating apprenticeships, invited the MP for Erewash, Maggie Throup, to officially open its new centre in Nottingham.
Following a £1 million investment, JTL has now relocated from Aldercar High School where it started sub-contracting to in 2008 to a new 9,734 square foot centre in Sandiacre, comprised of four modern classrooms and separate fully-equipped electrical and plumbing workshops, as well as a refectory area.
Liam Sammon, director of learning and innovation at JTL, said: “We are delighted to have welcomed Maggie Throup MP to our Nottingham centre and showcase our brand-new facilities. Here at the Nottingham centre, we’re proud to not only be home to 150 learners but we’re also seeing a 30% growth in the number of apprentices this year. We look forward to welcoming more new apprentices and employers in the future.”
