One of the year’s important events in the Electrical Distributors’ Association’s (EDAs) diary is the 60th General Convention of the European Union of Electrical Wholesalers (EUEW) – this year to be held in Lisbon, Portugal, from the 4th – 6th of June:

To be hosted by the Portuguese Association AGEFE, the EUEW Conventions aim to discuss ways of improving the efficiency of electrical wholesale distribution, contributing to the development of the chain to the benefit of all partners, and offering the opportunity to strengthen people relationships.

This Convention will be a unique event in the electrical material sector, where distributors from all Europe have the opportunity to meet each other, as well as other business partners, such as manufacturers and other professionals of the electrical industry.

The program structure

On the evening of 4th June 2015, there will be a ‘Meet & Greet’ and ‘Welcome Cocktail Dinatoire’.

On 5th June, the working program will start with ‘Change and Innovation / New Technologies’, followed by ‘Part I – The Future Market’, which will concern market drivers, change and innovation?- the digital challenge for wholesalers and industry. There will also be a session about the impact on the future market of installation material and the impact on the future lighting sector.

Then will come ‘Technics in building’ – Part II – the values of the wholesaler and how wholesaling firms can catch the market? What makes distribution important, plus Part III – what is the future role of the wholesaler?

These sessions will be followed a Partners City Tour of Lisbon and, in the evening, by the Gala Dinner.

This event will conclude on Saturday 6th of June with an optional walking tour in Évora, the Capital of Alto Alentejo, classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage site since 1986.Then there will be a visit the Herdade of Esporão in Reguengos de Monsara.
