Staff from LEW (Lincs Electrical Wholesalers) have been keeping fit, having fun and fund raising for charity over the last few weeks. First up was the Brigg Sprint Triathlon which took place on 25th September. LEW’s Managing Director, Andy Johnson along with sons Josh Johnson (Branch Manager) and Kieren Johnson (E-Business Manager) took on the tough race which comprised a 400m swim, 20km cycle ride and 5km run.
All three completed the course in a respectable time and managed to raise £1,290 in the process for The Alzheimer’s Society and for the Palliative Care Unit at the John Coupland Hospital in Gainsborough.
Perhaps less testing, but certainly more messy was the Pretty Muddy obstacle course held at the Lincoln Showground on 1st October. Ladies from LEW’s national head office and branches came together under the name “LEW’s Angels” to take on the muddy course.
Thanks to their efforts, a donation of more than £800 was sent to Cancer Research UK.
