Strategies in Light Europe, at the London ExCeL Centre on November 17-19, 2015, offers a one day Investor Forum (17 November) followed by two days of thought-provoking conference sessions. These sessions will highlight the latest developments in markets, applications and technology.

This year, for the first time, Strategies in Light Europe will take place in London, co-located with leading lighting industry trade show LuxLive. The co-location promises to deliver Europeโ€™s largest annual LED and lighting event, with over 7,000 attendees.

Whilst LuxLive focuses on the end-user and design end of the lighting arena, Strategies in Light Europe addresses the interests of those associated with the manufacture, development and application of lighting technologies.

Learning about lighting

Taking advantage of the rapid changes affecting Europe and the world’s lighting industry can be a challenge. To address these changes, Strategies in Light Europe has curated a world class line-up of sessions, ranging from markets for LED lighting to networked indoor lighting to smart cities to the health effects of lighting.

โ€œThe conference will focus on cutting-edge topics that affect the lighting industry now and in the future,โ€ said Bob Steele, Strategies in Light Europe Conference Chair.

โ€œKeynote and plenary sessions will feature top executives from the lighting industry, plus a speaker or two offering a different perspective from outside the industry.

โ€œMany sessions will feature panel discussions, allowing the audience to participate more fully with extended Q&A periods. Plus, networking with colleagues from throughout the EU lighting industry at breaks and receptions is a fantastic reason to attend.โ€

Shining a light on the sessions

Following the Keynote and Plenary sessions, the conference will break into two parallel tracks โ€“ Market and Applications and Technology Issues and Trends. Sessions in the Market and Applications Track will include Smart Lighting, Lighting and Health, Embedded Lighting, Impact of LEDs on Lighting Design, and Market Trends.

The Technology Issues and Trends track will include sessions on Advances in LED Component Technology, Luminaire Design Challenges and Opportunities, Outdoor Lighting/Smart Cities, Energy Aspects of Lighting Systems, and Thermal Management.
