CMD Limited, the British manufacturer of a range products including ergonomics, power modules, power distribution, cable management and lighting controls has announced its acquisition by Ideal Industries Inc.

Outgoing CMD Managing Director Steve Cole explains: “The decision to sell CMD was not an easy one, however our recent trading success has made it clear to me that in order to take the business to even higher levels, we needed greater support and investment to match the company’s future growth aspirations.”

Ideal Industries’ Chairman and CEO Jim James added: “This is a great fit for us. CMD’s technical expertise and market reputation will help us accelerate European acceptance for both our new wireless lighting control and mobile device charging systems.”

Jon has over 20 years’ industry experience and will be responsible for the day to day running of the CMD Limited UK operation.”
