Europa Components have received a visit from Her Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant of Bedfordshire, Helen Nellis, to their Head Office and distribution centre in Luton. Accompanying Mrs Nellis were the Mayor of Luton, Councillor Tahir Khan, Cheryl Smart CEO of the Chamber of Commerce and Stephen Catchpole CEO of SEMLEP (pictured).

David Sheridan, Chairman and Sonia Freed, Managing Director of Europa gave guests a tour of the company including the recently expanded production facility and introduced them to staff in all departments, including three young apprentices, all from Luton.

The visit resulted from a Chamber of Commerce meeting, where Mrs Nellis had expressed an interest in visiting successful local businesses. The history and future plans in place for Europa certainly fitted the bill. They are a leading independent supplier of fuses in the UK and a front-runner in the supply of switch disconnectors and other control gear components to electrical wholesalers throughout the country.

Having enjoyed significant growth over the past few years, plans are in place to maintain success by continuing to supply high quality products, excellent service, full technical support and a flexible attitude to customers.

Following the tour of Europa’s facilities, guests were given a presentation on the company’s history and the occasion was marked by a planting ceremony conducted by Mrs Nellis and Councillor Khan.
