To honour its 50th anniversary this November, Hamilton Litestat is setting a charity bike ride challenge from Teddington to Bristol. Taking place on 6-7 September, the event aims to raise funds for the Bristol Royal Hospital for Children.
The 110-mile route has been decided as Teddington is where company founder Rod Hamilton started the business half a century ago in 1968. As the company established itself and grew, it moved to Mere, Wiltshire, providing valuable employment opportunities in its new location. Although manufacturing in Bristol for some years, Hamiltonโs headquarters made the move to Brislington, Bristol, in 2017 and is where the bike charity tour concludes.

โWe wanted to do something that would celebrate this momentous occasion in Hamiltonโs history, but also to give back to the Bristol community that is now home to our headquarters,โ said Gavin Williams, Hamiltonโs Marketing Manager. โAs a family-run company, succeeding and celebrating 50 years in business as we continue to grow is something weโre very proud of and is testament to all the staff that have worked for Hamilton throughout the years.โ
Hamilton is welcoming guests to join the charity bike ride. If youโd like to help Hamilton celebrate its 50th anniversary and raise money for Bristol Royal Hospital for Children, please contact Gavin Williams on:ย gavin.williams@hamilton-litestat.com
The fund-raising cyclists will set off from Bushey Park in Teddington on Thursday 6 September and are due to ride into Brislington, Bristol, on Friday 7 September.
Williams adds: โAlthough we looked to fit Mere into the journey, we couldnโt make the route work and Iโm sure the aching legs of everyone who joins us for the challenge will appreciate that decision come the end of the event!โ
