Fegime UK launches a project to support the New Apprentices to the Electrical Industry
The Independent Consortium Fegime UK has launched an initiative to support the newcomers to the Electrical Contractors Industry with a range of “Toolkits” developed with the support of the Fegime Members, Airflow, CK Tools and Schneider.
Fegime’s CEO, Alan Reynolds explained: “Having started as an apprentice electrician when I was 16 years old, on a wage of circa £20 per week, I know how difficult it was for me to build my first set of tools to carry out my training. Therefore when I discussed the idea with fellow members and Suppliers I thought it would be great if we could help new starters with some support with a bespoke tool bag and tools.”
Fegime has 36 members across the UK and each member has been sent Tool Kits to give to Apprentices working within their customers businesses.
Reynolds continued: “I am sure these Kits will be received well and no doubt some of these apprentices will in due course start their own businesses and may in the future become customers of Fegime members. It is really important with all of the opportunities coming to the Electrical Sector that we invest in our future tradespeople and hopefully this small gesture will be a significant help to them.
“I need to thank also Sarah Bevan from CK Tools, Carolyn Newton-Brown from Airflow and Gary Palmer from Schneider.”
