ESP announces vandal-resistant surveillance system

espESP has introduced a vandal-resistant version of its CanCam external surveillance system.

The standard CanCam is housed within a steel, vandal-resistant casing, preventing theft or the removal of the SD storage card.

CanCam is a battery operated, high resolution surveillance camera with integral PIR detector, SD card recording and black infrared illumination. It is suited for semi covert, instant deployment security operations and is designed for external or internal use.

It detects movement and instantly records high quality images with time and date, day and night.

The image capture type and resolution is selectable – either video with audio up to HD720P or stills up to 8MP recording directly to the 4GB SD card supplied.

When the card is full, there is an overwrite option. Cards up to 32GB can also be used.

Recordings are taken from the removable SD card using Windows Media Player. Footage can also be viewed via a PC or TV.

The service life of the CanCam’s battery pack varies according to the resolution and image mode. However, a plug-in power supply is included for more permanent use.

The camera can be pole or wall mounted and has an IP55 weatherproof rating.
