Having been nulled the adapter is connected to the out-going and incoming, line, neutral and protective earth, and the multi-function tester which almost immediately gives a measurement of r1,r2 and rn.”
“The adapter is then left at the board while measurements as taken around the ring, giving R1+R2 and R1+RN. The adapter makes the connections saving the electrician time walking back and forth and allowing him to use his expertise to interpret the results.”
