Leading manufacturer of cable glands, cleats and accessories, CMP Products, smashed its fundraising expectations for 2025 by raising a vital £20,000 for the north east mental health charity, Anxious Minds.

Newcastle-based CMP organised 16 fundraising events throughout the year with the aim of maximising the funds raised for its chosen charity. Amongst the events were a passport donation, bake sale, race day and woodland clearance. The passport donation was the most popular single event, raising over £5,000 alone, while a charity ball and accompanying digital donations push raised a combined total of £9,309.

Leanne Branfoot, CMP Products’ Human Resources Advisor and Culture Champion, said: “We, of course are delighted with how well our fundraising efforts went in 2025. The work Anxious Minds does in our region is incredible and to be able to have been able to help fund this over the last year has been really rewarding for all of us here at CMP.”

Anxious Minds was founded in 2015 stemming from the CEO’s personal experiences with PTSD, anxiety and depression. Since then, it’s delivered well over 120,000 counselling and support group sessions supporting children, adults and veterans. Its services include support groups, therapy sessions, helplines, workshops and recovery centres, as well as online resources for anyone with anxiety disorders or other mental health conditions. Edward Dean, Anxious Minds’ CEO, said: “CMP has been nothing short of amazing, and their consistent support, generosity and hard work raising funds for us has been exceptional. Their enthusiasm and imagination when it came to fundraising events was inspiring and the money raised really has been vital in supporting our mission to ensure that anyone facing their darkest hours in the north east can find the help they need at Anxious Minds.”.

The momentum generated did not go unnoticed this year, with CMP Products being shortlisted for a highly coveted corporate charity partnership award at the Northeast Charity Awards 2025.
