The company reports that demand for its cable cleats is expanding at such a rate that the companyโ€™s innovation and automation team has been tasked with doubling the output by the end of the year โ€“ much sooner than had been expected.

In response, the automation team has installed three new Fanuc robots in its metal forming production line and two new SEPRO robots in its mould-shop.

This move will improve the safety and reliability of production without compromising on quality.

Trevor Herron, Chief Operations Officer at CMP Products, said: โ€œHigher-than-expected orders from around the world have allowed us to accelerate our automation schedule, resulting in five robots being installed since the start of the year. It has been a big ask of our team to double output, but we have a skilled, dedicated team that are more than up to meeting the challenge.

โ€œDemand for cable cleats is increasing as design engineers look to make electrical installations as safe as possible โ€“ and with CMPโ€™s reputation for quality and safety we are seeing the direct results in our production figures.โ€
