Big names sign up to support the Electrical Wholesaler Awards 2015

The Electrical Wholesaler Awards will return to the capital on Thursday 14th May 2015, following their successful debut earlier this year. Organised by Datateam Business Media Ltd, which publishes Electrical Wholesaler magazine, the event is designed to recognise and highlight the achievements and services of electrical wholesalers and manufacturers and has won early backing from sponsors.

SponsorsA host of leading industry names have lined up to sponsor the 2015 Electrical Wholesaler Awards and help create another winning industry event, which will once again raise funds for The Electrical Industries Charity (formerly EEIBA).

New sponsors include global specialist in energy management, Schneider Electric; Contactum, a manufacturer of electrical wiring accessories and circuit protection products; One Electrical, a well recognised and respected brand within the electrical wiring accessories and lighting sector and Selectric, another leading manufacturer of electrical wiring accessories.

Impressed with the way in which the 2014 event gave sponsors the opportunity to raise their profile in front of a targeted and highly engaged audience while uniting the industry and celebrating excellence, a number of the original sponsors have signed up to return. Joining the line-up is Luckins (part of the Amtech Group), a leading specialist in product and pricing data for the sector; energy saving, comfort and security product manufacturer, B.E.G. Luxomat; ML Accessories, distributors of the Knightsbridge branded lighting and wiring accessories; leading international cable supplier Eland Cables; lighting and electrical accessories specialist Lyvia Electrical; one of the industry’s top contractor titles, Electrical Times magazine, and Voltimum UK & Ireland, a key information source for the electrical industry.

Here’s what the industry is saying…

Eddie Embleton, sales and marketing manager, Voltimum UK & Ireland said: “Working with electrical wholesalers is key for Voltimum, so we are proud to support the EW Awards and to see these businesses rewarded for their efforts.  For Voltimum, the EW Awards represent not only excellence in customer service to electrical contractors and installers (a key Voltimum audience), but also that they champion innovation in moving the electrical industry forward.”

Richard Appleton, director of information services, Amtech Group, agrees. He said: “For a company such as ourselves, which has worked closely with the electrical wholesaling industry for many years, the Electrical Wholesaler Awards provide the ideal opportunity to demonstrate our continued support.  We are keen to support an event which celebrates excellence and innovation, essential qualities for the industry to meet the many new challenges it faces.”

B.E.G. Luxomat’s Paul Jones, Sales Director for UK and Ireland is also pleased to be back. He said:  “B.E.G. Luxomat is delighted to be sponsoring the 2015 Electrical Wholesaler Awards. As an organisation we wholeheartedly encourage innovation and excellence in our industry and we are proud to support this event which recognises and celebrates the achievements and services of electrical wholesalers and manufacturers across the UK and beyond.”

“A key night of networking and celebration”

Mike Gammon, publication and event manager, Electrical Wholesaler magazine said: “After the huge success of the first year, we are delighted to have given the industry an event that is now talked about and recognised as a must-attend date in the diary. Even at our inaugural event in May this year, suppliers and wholesalers were already looking forward to – and went on to book their places for – the next Electrical Wholesaler Awards on 14th May 2015. In addition to this, the increase in sponsorship for this event is a clear indication that crucial suppliers believe in the work we are doing to support wholesaler/supplier relations through a key night of networking and celebration of an integral part of the electrical market”.

Event director Hannah Dedman commented: “The Electrical Wholesaler Awards enjoyed an unprecedented level of support and participation earlier this year, more than we could ever have expected for a launch event. Not only did the entry, nomination and voting process engage and excite the industry, the event was also very well attended on the night. All the signs are pointing to an even bigger and better ceremony in 2015!”

The benefits of being a winner…

Debbie Eales, editor of Electrical wholesaler magazine said: “The EW Awards offer a fantastic opportunity to recognise both individuals and companies who go that extra mile. In such a competitive environment, everyone wants their business, customer service and products to stand out. And now, there is an opportunity to reward excellence within the electrical wholesale channel.

“The benefits of being a winner are many – a higher profile and an enhanced reputation, which could ultimately lead to even greater success. Winning clearly differentiates you from your competitors.

“And what better way to celebrate that excellence than with a glittering awards ceremony and a fantastic evening, mixing with your peers.

“Entries are now open for the 2015 EW Awards. So if you know an individual, a company or have a product that’s really head and shoulders above the rest, it’s time to get nominating.”
