Bemco to implement Epicor BisTrack software
Independent wholesaler, Bemco, is going to implement Epicor BisTrack software across its electrical wholesale, manufacturing and import businesses this year.
Bemco implemented its existing ERP system in 1999 and, although it had served the company well initially, there had been no system development for several years.
According to Bemco managing director, Simon Barkes, Bemco needed a modern system that could evolve as the company continued to grow, as well as specific functionality such as barcode and scanning capabilities to speed up sales processing and enhance customer service.
The Bemco team looked at four other systems but chose BisTrack for two reasons. Barkes explained: “Firstly the price was right. Secondly I liked the way BisTrack is set up so all customers receive the same ‘out of the box’ solution but, just like an iPhone, it has the flexibility to let you tailor it to work how you want it to.” Some 85 staff will eventually use BisTrack across seven Bemco sites.
BisTrack has been powering electrical wholesale businesses in the UK for more than a decade. The software offers all the functionality needed to process sales, control stock and works orders, simplify purchasing, trade online and gather intelligence. It’s developed in the familiar Microsoft style so is very easy for staff to learn and use.
