The UK’s strongest independent purchasing consortium, AWEBB, has appointed Geraldine Jones into a newly formed role.
To form part of AWEBB’s 2025 strategy, Geraldine has been appointed as European and group purchasing manager, to help AWEBB to further enhance its membership culture and provide improved consolidated purchasing through the provision of sustained and measurable goals.
Geraldine, who has many years of experience working with the wholesale channel, is looking forward to the new challenge. She commented: “I am absolutely delighted to be joining AWEBB. The group is clearly investing in the future for their members, and as they have set out in their 2025 strategy plan, they are committed to delivering on their goal of becoming the best purchasing consortium in the UK – so being given the opportunity to work with AWEBB and support the members’ purchasing while managing the group’s European membership was a chance not to be missed!
Geraldine continued: “My aim is to work with approved suppliers, further consolidating on the groups purchasing aspiration of 65% with suppliers, which is central to the AWEBB philosophy of ‘Teamwork, Knowledge, Strength’. I look forward to getting started.”
