A New Home for Armorduct

Due to Armorduct continuing its planned expansion and drive for leaner manufacturing, the company this week announced it is moving into larger premises with purpose built offices in early 2015 in Kingswingford.
To complement our growth in the Steel Wire Cable Basket sector a new mesh welding line is being installed, using the very latest medium frequency low energy mesh welding machine manufactured from Ideal.
Commercial Director Peter Willsher is confident that the new plant will not only give increased productivity but will also consume far less energy in the process. Commenting from their current facility in Dudley he explains their current thinking and their reason for choosing the Ideal machine.
“The new Ideal machine will give greater flexibility more output and its capacity means we will be able to future proof the increased demand for larger baskets. Ideals low frequency machine guarantees a better weld using less energy and far less wastage. This Investment along with other additional machinery also being installed into the new premises will add extra capacity and automation to parts of our standard trunking and tray product ranges.
The move to larger premises signals a landmark in the companies development and its future plans. The first of a new range of catalogues will launch in December featuring new products such as an Underfloor Powertrack System and a comprehensive Aluminum Skirting and Dado range. We are all excited about the move and the prospects it will bring. We are taking the opportunity of moving to focus in on being energy efficient. A good example of this is our new facility is currently being relit with new energy saving LED light fittings on the shop floor; more than ever we are trying to reduce not only our energy consumption but also our carbon footprint. As a proud British manufacturer we have always encouraged working with other British suppliers but recently our business has where ever possible used local companies for any outside supplies or processes. ”
