The Electrical Industries Charity is thrilled to announce the appointment of Lucy Raemers as its new Head of Welfare Services.

Lucy brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and immense passion for welfare to the role, and is excited to continue supporting the industry.

Having been part of the Charityโ€™s Welfare Team for five years, Lucy is eager to build on this experience and continue offering meaningful support to individuals and families across the industry who need it most.

โ€œWorking within Welfare and supporting people in the industry for the past five years has been an absolute honour, and Iโ€™m excited to continue working with the Welfare Team in our mission to help as many individuals and families in the industry as we can,โ€ Lucy says. โ€œIโ€™m so excited to be part of the continued growth of a Charity thatโ€™s so close to my heart.โ€

With a background in suicide prevention and a strong passion for breaking stigmas around mental health, Lucy is incredibly proud of the work the Welfare Team has achieved in this space. She is now looking forward to leading the team into its next chapter.

โ€œIโ€™m looking forward to leading a team who I have worked closely with and who are all so passionate about what they do,โ€ Lucy says. โ€œThe support that we have been offering is paramount to the industryโ€™s success, and Iโ€™m so excited to see the places we can take the Welfare team in the years to come.โ€

Lucy says seeing the impact the Welfare team can make on individuals in the industry is deeply rewarding.

โ€œThe journey of support we offer on a daily basis feels fundamental and transformative for the people we support. It makes a lasting impact in times of real need. Leading a team that can offer that to people when they donโ€™t know where to turn is such a privilege,โ€ Lucy says.

The Electrical Industries Charityโ€™s Managing Director, Jess Vailima, says she is delighted to see Lucy stepping into the role.

โ€œWe are delighted to appoint Lucy as our new Head of Welfare Services. Her passion, dedication, and deep understanding of the challenges facing our industry make her the ideal person to lead this team. I have no doubt she will continue to strengthen and expand the support we provide to those who need it most,โ€ says Jess.
